Duncan and Liz in New York City August 2013
The Two-Wheeled Touring of Duncan & Liz
Welcome. What a wonderful world we live in. The beauty of our creation affords opportunities for travelling and wonderment and we have been privileged - indeed blessed - to see some of it for ourselves.
The ramblings and recordings you find here are mostly for our later enjoyment and reflection; but we welcome anyone who chooses to accompany us along the way.
Home for us is Melbourne, Australia; although we both hail from South Africa a long time ago
Duncan is something of a motorcycle tragic and Liz.... isn't. However, subject to a hot shower and a hairdryer every morning, Liz sometimes climbs on the back of the BMW for a two wheeled road trip.
On most other occasions the more usual forms of modern day transport are utilised to take us where we need or would like to go. Aside from places, it is almost invariably that we are drawn by and to people: family and friends. And on the way we get to meet new people and new friendships are formed. For all this we are richer in spirit.
Where our postings take the form of a blog, usually when we are travelling, folk are invited to comment, or contact us by email. If you know where we are heading, advice on conditions or tips on sight seeing, places to eat etc would be welcomed.
Once again, welcome. We hope you enjoy your visit here.
